Made using a mouse velocity-based bouncing ball sketch in P5.Js Javascript library. Every time a ball hits the bottom of the window, it sends a message to Pure Data. Effectively this acts as a pattern generator.

I then created three increasingly complicated sketches in Pure Data to demonstrate the versatility of thinking about music as data. The first simply plays back chords from Satie's Ogives I. The second triggers a synth alternating between the first 11 harmonics of 100hz. The third is a more complex process dependent on the latency of data input to Pd and the abruptness of the synth envelope, with added amplitude modulation.
